Overcrowded Avenue

Overcrowded Avenue is band that blends sounds to make their own. A pinch of Pop a dash of Jazz, a hint of Soul, and lot of dedication and love for the creative flame that pushes us. Starting over 2 years ago in Honolulu, Overcrowded Avenue formed mixing the unique talents of HowardNett, Cris Pangaribuan, and Aaron Loesser. Howard grew up in the Midwest and studied with one of the great Blues legends of Des Moines and later honed his craft of writing and performing in the Bay Area including opening for The Roots, The Black-eyed Peas, and Maceo Parker. His style mixes urban jazz, soul, blues, pop, and country. Aaron Loesser has been a stable on the Honolulu music scene for years and is a graduate of Berklee School of Music. His style layers melody with the drive to find the pulse of the song. Cris Pangaribuan has quickly established himself as a first call drummer on Oahu with a number of local bands. Originally from Indonesia, Cris first started exploring his style in the Jam Band scene in Colorado. You can hear the influence of Jazz, Motown, fusion, and pop in his sound. He currently teaches at Chuck James music and helps lead his church's band every Sunday.
